Halts
Every trading halt on US exchanges today, with the reason, the time it stopped and when it resumed. Free and refreshed every 15 seconds.
A halt freezes trading in one stock, usually while news comes out or after a very fast move. The halts page lists every halt as it happens, so you know why a stock stopped and when it can trade again.

How to read the halt board
- Click Halts in the left menu.
- The count under the title shows how many halts are active. The page refreshes every 15 seconds.
- Read each row: SYM, MARKET, REASON, HALTED time in Eastern, RESUMED, DUR and market cap.
- A red HALTED tag with ongoing means the stock has not resumed. A time means it has.
- Click a symbol to open its chart.

How to see resumed halts
- By default the board hides halts that have already resumed. The button reads Show resumed.
- Click it to list every halt from today. It changes to Hide resumed.
How to look at a past day
- Scroll to Daily halt records near the bottom.
- Click a date to open that day's full list.
How to get an alert when a stock you watch halts
- Add the stock to a watchlist.
- Go to Settings, then Notifications, and check the Halt alerts row. Choose in-app, phone push or email.
- While the scanner is open, a card slides in when a watchlist stock halts, gets close to resuming and resumes. See Scanner sounds and halt alerts.
How to open today's halts in the scanner
- Click Open today's halts in the live scanner above the table.
- The Halt Resume scan shows halted stocks with resume times. Add the Halt Tape panel from the Add menu to keep it beside your lists.
Good to know
- Halt times are Eastern.
- A halt on a stock that was already moving is often the setup traders watch on resume. Halts are not signals by themselves.
If something doesn't work
- The board is empty: no halts are active. Click Show resumed to see the day's history.
- A code shows in brackets: it is a code not in the table above.
