Free costs nothing and stays free. Pro is $39 a month and Terminal is $79 a month. Every new account gets 7 days of Pro with no card.
Tapeboard has three plans. Free is $0 with no card. Pro adds the full real-time toolkit and the AI tools. Terminal removes the limits and adds power features for heavy users. Every new account starts with a 7-day Pro trial, no card needed.

Which plan do I need?
- Free if you check the tape a few times a week, practice in the simulator and keep a journal.
- Pro if you trade daily and want live candles, Level 2, several scanner panels, unlimited alerts and the AI scanner.
- Terminal if you want formula alerts, unlimited AI, full SEC filing search or to export your journal and simulator history in bulk.
How the trial works
- Sign up. Pro is on for 7 days, with no card.
- When it ends you move to Free. Nothing is charged.
- If you upgrade during the trial, your card is only charged when the trial days run out. There is no second trial.

Good to know
- Bracket orders (a stop and a target that cancel each other) need Pro. Market, limit, stop, stop-limit, trailing stop and take-profit orders are free.
- Scanner panel limits. The main Scanner page holds up to 6 panels on every plan. The 8-panel Pro limit and the unlimited Terminal limit apply to the Panel Grid view.
- Data delay. Signed-in Free accounts get live quotes and the live scanner. Only visitors who are not signed in see data delayed by 15 minutes.
- Level 2 in the simulator. Simulated fills walk the order book on every plan. Terminal adds only the bulk export.
- Webhook alerts work on every plan.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a card to start? No. Free needs no card, and the 7-day Pro trial needs none either.
Can I cancel any time? Yes. Cancel in Settings → Billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
What happens to my data if I go back to Free? It stays. Downgrading changes limits, not ownership.
How does yearly billing work? You pay once up front. We email you at least 15 days before it renews.
Where do I change my plan? In Settings → Billing. See Billing and your plan.
If something doesn't work
- A feature says it needs Pro: you are on Free or your trial has ended. Open Settings → Billing to see your plan.
- You upgraded but still see locks: reload the page. See Billing and your plan.
