Billing and your plan

Everything about your plan lives on the Billing tab in Settings. Plans and prices are on Pricing. Payment is handled by Stripe, so your card details never sit on Tapeboard.

How your 7-day trial works

1. Every new account starts with 7 days of Pro. No card is asked for.
2. Open Settings → Billing. The Current Plan card shows Trial ends in N days.
3. Do nothing and the trial simply ends. You move to the Free plan. Nothing is charged and nothing is deleted. Your watchlists, alerts and journal stay.
4. There is one trial per account. There is no second free period.

How to upgrade

1. Open Settings → Billing and click Upgrade to Pro, or go to Pricing from the sidebar.
2. Pick Pro or Terminal, and choose monthly or annual.
3. Enter your card in the Stripe checkout page and confirm.
4. You land back in Settings with a message saying your plan is active.

If you upgrade while your trial is still running, your card is charged only when the trial days run out. If your trial is already over, you are charged straight away.

Annual plans are billed once: $374 a year for Pro (about $31 a month) and $756 a year for Terminal (about $63 a month). Monthly is $39 for Pro and $79 for Terminal. New annual plans have a 30-day money-back guarantee, and we email you at least 15 days before an annual renewal.

How to change your plan or update your card

1. Open Settings → Billing.
2. Click Change Plan to go back to the plan choices, or click Manage Billing to open Stripe's billing page for your subscription and payment method.
3. Manage Billing only appears once you have a paid subscription.

How to cancel

1. Open Settings → Billing and click Manage Billing.
2. Follow the cancel option in Stripe.
3. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for. Then you move to Free, and your data stays.

How to read your AI usage

1. On a Pro or Terminal plan, scroll down the Billing tab to AI Usage Today.
2. Each AI feature has a bar showing what you used today against your daily limit. Terminal shows Unlimited.
3. Limits reset every day.

Free accounts do not see this card.

Good to know

• Your plan name shows in the Current Plan card, along with Member since and any trial days left.
• Downgrading changes your limits, not what you own. Watchlists, alerts and journal entries remain on your account.
• Delete your account only after cancelling. See Account and security.

If something doesn't work

• You paid but still see Free: wait about 30 seconds and reload the page. The page keeps checking for a short while after checkout.
• Manage Billing is missing: it needs a paid subscription. Trial and Free accounts have no billing page to open.
• A charge you did not expect: email support@tapeboard.com and Marcus will look into it.
