News Audio and radio
A voice reads breaking headlines and market roundups aloud, all day. Listen on the radio page with no account, or inside the terminal.
Tapeboard Radio is a live audio broadcast of the market. A voice reads breaking headlines and, on weekdays, a short roundup of the top movers every 15 minutes. It suits the times when you cannot watch a screen. It is not investment advice, and the roundups say so.

How to listen on the website
- Open tapeboard.com/radio. No account is needed.
- Click LISTEN LIVE.
- Choose a channel on the page: ALL, MOVERS or MACRO.
- Press stop when you are done.
How to listen inside Tapeboard
- In the scanner, click NEWS AUDIO in the top bar. On a phone, tap Audio in the row of scan tabs.
- In the left menu, the small speaker at the bottom turns the audio on or off from any page.
- Click it again to stop.
How to choose what it reads
- Go to Settings, then Preferences.
- Set News audio channel to ALL (every headline), MOVERS + HALTS or MACRO ONLY.
- Use News audio volume to set the loudness in your browser.
Calm mode stops the audio and blocks it from starting. Turn Calm mode off in the same section to hear it again.
When it broadcasts
| Time (Eastern) | What you hear |
|---|---|
| Weekdays 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM | A roundup every 15 minutes, plus breaking news |
| Evenings and weekends | Breaking macro and high-priority headlines only |
If the market data is more than 30 minutes behind, the roundup says so or stays quiet. Roundups also state that quotes can be delayed.
Good to know
- On a phone lock screen or in a car, the play and stop controls work like any media player.
- The radio page and the in-app audio are the same stream.
- Halt flashes and earnings beats are read out when they come across the news wire.
If something doesn't work
- Nothing plays: press play once. Browsers block audio until you interact with the page.
- It plays and then stops: check that Calm mode is off in Settings, then Preferences.
- Silence at night or on weekends: scheduled roundups run only on weekdays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Breaking news still plays.
